Our client wanted to renovate her mid-2000s 3 story townhouse that had basic original build installs which were out of date and needing some new life! This three-story townhome was a little tricky because it was built for efficiency over roominess. We wanted to create a brighter, more open feel for her without losing functionality.
The client wanted an intemporal and elegant look and we used a lot of quality materials (marble, stone countertop etc.)
This project involved a multiple phase renovation including:
- Master bathroom.
- Guest shower.
- Kitchen facelift.
- Fireplace tiles.
- Paint throughout.
- Updated recessed lighting.
Scope of remodeling work
This project is a typical “pull and plug” project, we didn’t change the layout of the bathroom, shower or kitchen but everything has been replaced.
We pulled out and put new shower/tub, tiles, floors, vanity, walls, countertops, fixtures, lighting and more!
- Master Bath Partial Remodel: new shower, floor, paint vanity and walls, new granite countertop, fixtures, and lighting.
- Guest Bath Partial Remodel: new tub, tile surround, floor, paint vanity and walls, new granite countertop, fixtures, and lighting.
- Kitchen Facelift: Paint cabinets, new granite countertops, fixtures, and premium porcelain mosaic tile backsplash.
- Fireplace: Wrap full surface with ledger stone.
renovation Project workflow:
To help address the feel of the space, we engaged the 9 foot ceilings throughout the project.
- In both bathrooms, we chose to take the new custom Carrara marble tile from the Tile Bar all the way to the ceiling, drawing the eye to the extra space in the rooms!
- The stone fireplace in the living room was brought to the ceiling as well, making it a focal point for the space.
Upon completion, this renovation using brighter, more modern choices and colors brought so much life and energy as well as a feeling of more space in each room to a home stuck in a basic production build design with little personal taste.
