The client wanted to add some style to their custom built-kitchen, and after waiting months to settle on a choice that would reflect the feel of their 100 year old farmhouse perfectly, we settled on a rustic handmade ceramic tile to install on all wall space of the kitchen.

Scope of tile work

  • Flattening out inconsistencies in the walls so tile can be installed flat and even.
  • Installing the rustic tile across all wall space of the kitchen, wrapping the window and floating shelves as well.

We worked with the client to find a rustic tile that fit the style of their 100 year old farmhouse without looking too modern or dated as well. The extra effort to flatten out inconsistent walls in this old home really made all the difference to help avoid that wavy, uneven look and instead creating a seamless smooth look throughout.

The client bought this house to be their “forever home” as they began retirement. Their goal was to update and renovate their new house and beautify their space into a contemporary home they could enjoy peacefully for many years to come.
 
Almost everything in this house was original construction and finishes from the late 1970s, so there was lots to update!
 
This project involved:
  • Full house flooring.
  • Gut renovation of the master shower.
  • Gut renovation of the kichen.

Scope of work remodeling work

  • Redesigned and remodeled master shower.
  • Complete gut and remodel kitchen including new kitchen, with brand new appliances, custom cabinets, premium granite counter tops, and a clean, modern glass tile backsplash, and new recessed lighting.
  • New paint throughout the house.
  • New 1450 sq ft of premium large format wood plank porcelain tile flooring in all common areas.

  1. The master bathroom shower was original construction and had begun failing with cracks in the tile around the window and into the shower floor! It had to go! We abandoned the window and added a bench and niche for more functionality with some nice mosaic accents and large format subway tiles from for a more modern look.
  2. All of the common areas had three different types of flooring: Pergo, 12″ hexagonal quarry tile, and carpet, which we removed all of and replaced with a premium, large format wood-plank porcelain tile. We’ve been told that guests frequently are shocked to find out that it’s actually tile and not wood!

Our client wanted to renovate her mid-2000s 3 story townhouse that had basic original build installs which were out of date and needing some new life! This three-story townhome was a little tricky because it was built for efficiency over roominess. We wanted to create a brighter, more open feel for her without losing functionality.
 
The client wanted an intemporal and elegant look and we used a lot of quality materials (marble, stone countertop etc.)
 
This project involved a multiple phase renovation including:
  • Master bathroom.
  • Guest shower.
  • Kitchen facelift.
  • Fireplace tiles.
  • Paint throughout.
  • Updated recessed lighting.
 
 

Scope of remodeling work

 

This project is a typical “pull and plug” project, we didn’t change the layout of the bathroom, shower or kitchen but everything has been replaced.

We pulled out and put new shower/tub, tiles, floors, vanity, walls, countertops, fixtures, lighting and more!

  • Master Bath Partial Remodel: new shower, floor, paint vanity and walls, new granite countertop, fixtures, and lighting.
  • Guest Bath Partial Remodel: new tub, tile surround, floor, paint vanity and walls, new granite countertop, fixtures, and lighting.
  • Kitchen Facelift: Paint cabinets, new granite countertops, fixtures, and premium porcelain mosaic tile backsplash.
  • Fireplace: Wrap full surface with ledger stone.

To help address the feel of the space, we engaged the 9 foot ceilings throughout the project.
  • In both bathrooms, we chose to take the new custom Carrara marble tile from the Tile Bar all the way to the ceiling, drawing the eye to the extra space in the rooms!
  • The stone fireplace in the living room was brought to the ceiling as well, making it a focal point for the space.
Upon completion, this renovation using brighter, more modern choices and colors brought so much life and energy as well as a feeling of more space in each room to a home stuck in a basic production build design with little personal taste.

This brand new kitchen build boasts a bright, open floor plan with clean, modern fixtures, bold black shaker cabinets with classy brass trim, and elegant marble and brass mosaic backsplash.
 
With a smaller surface area to work with for this splash, we wanted to selection a material that would stand out in the space and add a lot without being too overbearing.

Scope of renovation work

  • We chose something a bit larger format with a little more style and punch so it would really stand out as a centerpiece to the kitchen.
  • We picked this tile selection because we really loved the brass trim pieces that tie in with the matching cabinet hardware. and the marble tile has just enough veining and movement without being to busy, while still connecting with the white countertops.
  • We had a bit of extra work to get the walls completely flat as needed with installing a backsplash properly.

Project workflow:

This elegant marble mosaic splash really hit all the notes we hoped for! It really stands out in a bold, but not eccentric way, and the brass trim really gives it an extra splash of color! The extra time spent flattening out the walls made all the difference in avoiding wavy, uneven tile that will catch the eye – and dirt – if not addressed!

This project is a pull and plug remodeling of a 70s shower, the owner wanted to update a very dated style. We designed and changed everything in the bathroom – except for the layout.

We changed everything from vanity to backsplash but without changing the layout. Below is the scope of work done:
  • Demolition of existing shower and floor tile, cabinets, and lighting.
  • Moved plumbing from the left wall to right side.
  • Added LED lighting in the custom niche.
  • Installed modern cement-like tile.
  • New matching floor tile.
  • New paint, trim and fixtures.
  • All new plumbing fixtures and toilet.

  2. We worked out a full functional layout with the client with minimal change to minimize the cost. We figured out how to implement the client’s vision without changing the plumbing/electricals which would result in higher costs.
  3. Demolition and removing the old bathroom items.
  4. Carefully worked with the material and design to install large format tile in the shower floor to keep the image of cement flowing throughout.
